A polishing-based rice milling method was developed in the 1860s by Douglass & Grant in the UK and a friction-based rice milling method by Angelverg in the USA. These traditional methods have been used in rice milling plants around the world for about 160 years.

Since 2010, in Korea, we have developed an innovative ceramic cutting-type rice milling machine which scrapes off the surface of brown rice with the use of ceramic cutting blades. This machine has been certified by the government as a new technology and innovative product, and has been recognized as a world-class rice milling technology.

Our ceramic cutting and dry type rice milling machine, which utilizes a cutting blade to scrape off the surface of brown rice and a dry milling method, has reduced energy consumption by about 30% compared to traditional wet-type milling machines.

Our cutting and dry type rice washing system uses air to remove bran on the surface of white surface, which is the main cause of water pollution. The developed dry rice washing method contributes to preventing global environmental pollution.

We strive to spread this innovative ceramic cutting-type milling technology to major long-grain rice producing countries that account for 80-90% of the world's rice production.
